About Me

Hej! My name is Michael Larson and I come from Bellevue, WA, USA. I am a 4th year senior at the University of Washington, but this year I am studying abroad in Sweden, at Uppsala Universitetet. How cool is that!?! This is definatly going to be the best…year…ever. Currently I am studying Swedish language in Uppsala and working daily to gain greater fluency and insights into Swedish culture.

At UW I am a Biology and Swedish major with ambitions to go to medical school upon graduation. I love golf, classical music (especially pipe organ!), long walks on the beach, and a strong cup of coffee. I love Jesus and would love to talk with you about His good news and how it pertains to your life. I play the piano and pipe organ, love reading english gothic fiction (~1800), enjoy discussing conservative politics and am especially interested in health care and health care systems in various parts of the world. Pheww, that was a mouthful.

Did I mention I’m an absolute nut for all things Sweden?

I hope you enjoy this site, as it was created for you! Shoot me an email or leave me a comment on what you would like to see and I’ll do my best to make it happen.

Hi, Michael:

My name is Scott Peterson and I am Karl’s father, writing you from Yakima, Washington. I appreciate that you and Karl a sharing good times in Uppsala this year. I read your blog page and noticed that you had a great grandmother who emmigrated to Stanton, Iowa, which happens to be my home town. In fact, my father, Donald,…Karl’s grandfather, is the curator of the Swedish Heritage Center in Stanton. You can find the web page by using Google, if you like. I was just wondering if you had relatives in Stanton now, and who they might be. Karl has been in Stanton quite a few times over the years.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
